PHYSICAL

HEALING:

A Promise for Today

Why physical healing is a promise meant for you Today!

Healing is for You, Today

Jesus Christ paid for your healing at the same time He paid for your salvation. The same atonement that removes sin also removes sickness. Healing is not a side benefit—it is part of the Gospel. Isaiah prophesied about the coming Messiah, saying:

"Surely He has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." — Isaiah 53:4-5 (MEV)

Matthew confirms this prophecy was fulfilled through Jesus:

"He cast out the spirits with His word and healed all who were sick, to fulfill what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, 'He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'” — Matthew 8:16-17 (MEV)

And Peter, looking back at the completed work of Christ, declared:

"By His wounds you were healed." — 1 Peter 2:24 (MEV)

Jesus Healed All Who Came to Him

Throughout His ministry, Jesus healed all who came to Him in faith. He never turned anyone away. Acts 10:38 says:

"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."

Healing is the will of God, and Jesus demonstrated this by healing multitudes, raising the dead, and setting captives free.

The Apostles Continued the Ministry of Healing

After Jesus’ resurrection, His disciples continued healing the sick in His name:

"And His name, by faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." — Acts 3:16 (MEV)

Healing was not just for Bible times; it is still for today. Jesus commissioned His followers, saying:

"These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." — Mark 16:17-18 (MEV)

Healing is the Children’s Bread

When a woman came to Jesus asking for healing for her daughter, Jesus said:

"It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to dogs." — Matthew 15:26 (MEV)

She responded in faith, and her daughter was healed. Healing is the “children’s bread” — meaning it belongs to the people of God. If you are in Christ, healing is your inheritance.

Faith Receives What Grace Provides

Healing is a gift from God, received by faith. Jesus often told those He healed, “Your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:34). Faith is believing what God has said and acting on it.

James 5:14-15 tells believers to pray for the sick with faith:

"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

This is not a suggestion—it is a command. Healing is God’s will for His people.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Jesus never refused to heal anyone who came to Him in faith. God’s will is revealed through Jesus, and Acts 10:38 says He healed all who were oppressed by the devil. Healing is included in redemption (Isaiah 53:4-5).

Faith stands on the Word of God, not on what we see or feel. The Bible says, “We walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Continue to declare His promises, resist doubt, and trust in His power.

No. Paul’s thorn was a messenger of Satan sent to oppose him (2 Corinthians 12:7), not a physical sickness. The Bible never calls sickness a blessing—it calls it an oppression of the devil (Acts 10:38).

Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). Confess God’s promises, receive prayer, and act in faith. James 5:16 says, "Pray for one another so that you may be healed."
