What we believe

We stand on the Word

Our beliefs are not a list we made up. They come straight from Scripture, and we stand with the Word of God.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 · 2 Peter 1:20-21

One God, three persons

There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal.

Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

Jesus was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died as our substitute, rose bodily from the dead, and is coming again.

Luke 1:35 · 1 Peter 2:22 · 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 · Acts 1:11

Salvation

We are saved by grace through faith in Christ’s finished work, and born again by the Holy Spirit. It is a gift, not something we earn.

John 3:3-7 · Romans 10:9-10 · Ephesians 2:8-9

Living holy

The Holy Spirit makes believers more like Jesus day by day, and gives us power to live in victory over sin.

Romans 6:14 · 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Water baptism

Believers who confess Jesus as Lord are baptized in water by immersion, as an act of obedience and a picture of new life.

Matthew 28:19 · Romans 6:3-4 · Acts 8:36-38

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit for power to witness, as at Pentecost, with the gifts of the Spirit at work today.

Acts 1:8 · Acts 2:4 · 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

Divine healing

Healing was provided through Christ’s atonement and is available to every believer who receives it by faith.

Isaiah 53:4-5 · 1 Peter 2:24 · Mark 16:17-18 · James 5:14-15

The Great Commission

Jesus commanded every believer to preach the Gospel to all nations. Evangelism is the heartbeat of what we do.

Mark 16:15 · Matthew 28:19-20

Marriage and sexuality

Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and sexual relations are reserved for that covenant.

Genesis 2:24 · Matthew 19:4-6 · Hebrews 13:4

Christ’s return

The Church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air before His return to earth, and believers are not appointed to wrath.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 · 1 Thessalonians 5:9

Our statement of faith aligns with the doctrinal statement of Revival Today. Scripture quotations are from the King James Version unless noted.
